This triadic plays with a fantastical idea based on the effects of the unrelenting 2020 and a play on words.
What started out as a walk around the neighborhood during the early days of the COVID-19 response in San Francisco turned into an exploration of the term, “void,” and its effect on the city.
With a lack of the usual hustle and bustle of urban life, there was already a blanket cast over the city like a spell, but further pushing the idea of void, what would objects in the city look like experiencing spaghettification, or mid-absorption into a void? This surreal set plays with the idea.
